NEDA announces Jorge Gabriel and Sansao HM The 2007 GRAND PRIX OPEN Reserve Champion with an average score of 63.542%. Championship captured by Courtney King and Idocus. Congratulations! 
The 2007 IALHA National Championships brought home a new award for Casa Lusitana! Jorge Gabriel was awarded the “IALHA Professional Horseman of the Year” receiving the honor in Ft. Worth during the 2007 IALHA National Championships. Says Jorge, “I was surprised and delighted. I’m rewarded daily because I love my work. But to be recognized by my peers and fellow horse lovers is a highlight of my career. Thank you, everyone.” 
Jorge Gabriel and Ultra do Castanheiro performed a freestyle to Fado music during the 2007 15th annual ERAHC show in Lexington, Virginia. Ultra is a 7 year old son of malmequer and is owned by Susan Mills. 
We are proud to be a part of the Town of Tyngsboro - and were happy to once again take part in this wonderful program. Each summer the Town of Tyngsboro's Library invites Casa Lusitana to participate in its children's reading and culture program. Even on this hot, July morning, we enjoyed sharing our Portuguese horses and their history, with approximately 150 children and parents who attended our short performance.

Festa Lusitana '06, now in its third year, was spectacular! Thank you to all who joined us for the wonderful annual tribute to the Lusitano and share a moment of warm Portuguese hospitality with us. Elegant horses, magnificent riding, fabulous weather, great Brazilian food, live music, sponsors and vendors and many friends of Casa Lusitana all contributed to the fun of the afternoon. As in prior years, we entertained hundreds of breed, dressage and general horse enthusiasts who traveled from throughout New England and across the US, even Portugal and Canada to be with us for the festivities. Remarkably, the pair earned the required four scores in four consecutive shows. Sansao has also qualified for 2006 Lusitano Horse of the Year at both I2 and Grand Prix. |
